Upstream Fundamentals Who Should Attend: This course is designed for technical and non-technical professionals, support staff and other personnel, who require a basic understanding of the upstream petroleum operations. Learning Expectations: This course provides the basic fundamentals of the upstream sector, the processes and technologies, and the risk and economics of the business. It also covers a broad range of topics needed to provide participants with a good understanding of the upstream operations. Topics covered include overview of upstream business, introduction to oil and gas formation, petroleum oil and gas exploration, basic petroleum geology, upstream drilling operations, well testing and formation evaluation, well completions and preparation for production, reservoir fundamentals, oil production operations, drive mechanisms, surface facilities, oil-gas separation, oil-water separation, natural gas, crude oil treating systems, transportation, upstream economics, risk analysis, and host government agreement.
