Petroleum Refinery Economics Who Should Attend: Engineers, operators, coordinators, refinery planners, lab personnel, fuels marketers, traders, downstream and refinery personnel, suppliers, crude oil traders, or those involved in financial assessment who want to have a thorough understanding of the refining operations Learning Expectations: This course will provide
participants with an overview of economic fundamentals, and methodology
used to determine profitability of refinery operations, as well as
planning and selection of processes for future expansion/revamp. A
variety of topics are covered with practical workshops including the
fundamentals of refinery economics, crude oil and product pricing,
refinery complexity, process unit yields, capital and operating costs,
refinery margins, spread, operating correlations, product blending
issues, supply chain management, refinery economic calculations, etc.
Attendees unfamiliar with refinery processing and its vocabulary would
benefit from also attending the “Fundamentals of Petroleum Refinery
Operations”.
