Learning Expectations: This course provides a comprehensive overview of the oil and gas industry from upstream exploration and production, midstream gas processing and transportation, to downstream refining, sales and marketing operations. It provides a good understanding of the role of oil and gas in the energy mix, the value chain functions of exploration, production, transportation, refining and marketing, how crude oil and natural gas are discovered, produced and transported, how crude oil and natural gas are transformed into useful products, how the major business drivers impact strategic decisions. Course participants will understand the process of fossil oil formation, reserve and discovery, processes involved in oil and gas exploration, crude oil and gas production, the dynamic of natural gas markets, oil refining, products, marketing and pricing LNG development, natural gas, crude oil evaluation and selection, oil refining, supply, demand, and pricing, oil marketing and the structure of the oil and gas industry.
