PWE01    Petroleum Engineering for Non-Engineers  

Who Should Attend:  Non-engineering and technical professionals, personnel, managers, support staff,  chemists, physicists, accounts, legal, sales, data processing personnel and those who are new or need to have a good understanding of operation of the oil and gas industry.

Learning Expectations: Program develops the practical understanding and knowledge of  participants on  the key aspects of petroleum engineering technology and their applications in the oil and gas industry.  The course focuses on practical day to day issues encountered in the petroleum industry and combines classroom exercises with basic engineering problems. A broad range of relevant topics are covered which include fundamentals of petroleum oil and gas reservoir engineering, well completions and workovers engineering, petroleum geology, drilling fundamentals, casing and cementing, production operations and optimization, primary and enhanced petroleum oil recovery mechanisms, as well as safety and environment.
