EMC09 Environmental
Health &Safety – Emergency Response Planning Who Should Attend: Engineers, operators, environmental professionals, consultants, regulators, those involved in the permitting, design and operation and people involved with health, safety and environmental matters in the oil and gas industry. Learning Expectations: This program provides participants with a set of practical guidelines on Environmental Emergency Response, i.e. how to respond to a variety of environmental emergencies. Knowledge from this program can be applied to a site emergency planning and response checklist in any processing operation; site Environmental Management System (EMS), site Environmental Management Plan (EMP), and/or site emergency management preparedness and response Plan. A variety of topics are covered including The Generic EHS Emergency Response Plan; Response Planning for Chemical Spills; Response Planning for Oil Spills; Response Planning for a Hazardous Gas Emergency. Participants would at the end of the course be able to provide leadership in emergency preparedness and response processes; create a process of recording, investigating, and acting on all complaints and incidents relating to environmental matters.
