EMC08 Environmental
Health and Safety – Emergency Preparedness Who Should Attend: Engineers, operators, environmental professionals, consultants, regulators, those involved in the permitting, design and operation and people involved with health, safety and environmental matters in the oil and gas industry. Learning Expectations: This program provides participants with a set of practical guidelines on Environmental Emergency Preparedness, i.e., how to start managing and preparing for an environmental emergency. Knowledge from this program can be applied to a site emergency planning and response checklist in any processing operation; site Environmental Management System (EMS), site Environmental Management Plan (EMP), and/or site emergency management preparedness and response Plan. A variety of topics are covered including Environmental Emergencies; Corporate Governance; Preparedness Plan. Participants would at the end of the course be able to provide a checklist to be used to prepare contingencies for an emergency; provide a guideline and leadership in emergency preparedness and response processes, including environmental emergency management.
