HAZWOPER - Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Who Should Attend: Personnel who are involved in the removal or handling of underground tanks and/or piping, contaminated soil and/or groundwater, subsurface investigations, construction work in which hazardous materials may potentially be present or encountered, situations where HAZMAT is prepared, packaged, labeled, marked, stored or shipped for disposal and for any facility wherein hazardous wastes are treated, stored, or disposed. Learning Expectations: This training is led by our staff of experienced Hazmat Instructors and fully meets the requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120 (e) for personnel working on hazardous waste sites. The course provides practical field exercise activities include on-site evaluation, hazard recognition and an initial report on the site. Instructional activities include: instrument use and calibration exercises, confined space equipment demonstration, barrel over packing/leaking drums demonstration, initial site survey exercise, decontamination exercise, barrel content identification exercise, sampling safety lecture. Upon completion, a Certificate of Completion is awarded, certifying the student has mastered the OSHA recommended requirements for HAZWOPER/Emergency Response training under 29 CFR 1910.120.
