Dust Explosions: Fundamentals, Prevention & Control Who Should Attend: This program is designed to benefit attendees from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and job responsibilities including chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, process engineers/scientists, fire protection professionals, plant/process safety/risk managers, facility managers, and all others who need to be aware of the fundamental prevention and control of dust explosions. Learning Expectations: This course starts with the fundamentals of dust explosions and protection strategies. Principles of hazard assessment, protection methods, and protection applications will be reviewed. Dust explosion case study: primary and secondary dust explosions, their effects and consequences. Common pitfalls in hazard communication Attendees will be updated on the recent advances in Explosion Protection technology, material hazard assessment test standards, and protection equipment designs.
