Downstream Fundamentals Who Should Attend: This course is designed for downstream (refining, LNG, transportation, and marketing) sector employees, suppliers, technical and non-technical professionals, support staff, industrial petroleum buyers, and other personnel, who require a basic understanding of the downstream petroleum operations. Learning Expectations: This course provides the basic fundamentals of the downstream sector, the processes and technologies, and economics of the business. The course covers a broad range of topics needed to provide participants with a good understanding of the downstream operations. Topics covered include the basic refining technology and operation, petroleum types, uses, and characteristics, crude oil fractions, refined products, quality specifications, crude oil distillation, catalytic reforming, catalytic cracking, alkylation and isomerization, product blending, downstream economics, refinery margins, crude oil supply, demand, and pricing, price monitoring and planning, natural gas processing, liquefied natural gas (LNG), gas to liquid processing, natural gas marketing and economics, refined oil and gas product transportation and storage.
