Project Appraisal, Economics & Management Who Should Attend: Project managers, operating managers, technical staff, field personnel, chief financial officers, executive officers, technology managers, budget Managers, engineers, geologists, field accounting supervisors and other personnel who need to develop or improve their skills and understanding of basic project appraisal, risk and economic analysis, financial performance, as well as management techniques of an LNG project or operations. Learning Expectations: This course covers the principles and applications of project management to the LNG business and is aimed at helping participants develop skills necessary to make the best business decisions that lead to lowest project cost while still meeting all production goals.
Participants learn how to analyze, in a practical manner, the financial performance of LNG investments from both projects and co-operate perspectives. Topics covered will include amongst others LNG economic evaluations with varying fiscal regimes and changes in economic factors, contract negotiations, LNG technologies, freighting, HSE, pricing, performance appraisal modeling systems adopted from best practices in the industry, the supply and demand trend in the sector, scenarios in supply and demand balances, pricing in phase with crude oils and products, the seasonality of the world demand of LNG and the propelling forces. Participants learn to build financial models for typical projects, calculate the standard measures of project performance and incorporate all project risks into the analysis using such processes as scenario analysis, portfolio analysis, decision trees, tornado diagrams, etc.
